I am so pleased today to be able to honor our staff and faculty for their years of service to our beloved University of San Francisco. It has been three years since we gathered for our traditional service and merit awards. Meeting in person and celebrating the accomplishments, innovations, and dedication of our faculty, librarians, and staff is all important, a very valued part of the culture of our community. Unfortunately, the pandemic has interrupted this tradition. We would have loved to return to an in-person event this year, but, your safety, health, and well-being remains our priority. So that we do not let any more time go by without recognizing your milestone anniversaries, we are providing this digital acknowledgment. We plan on holding the 2023 event in person and are already working on an updated ceremony format. We also want to remember those members of our community whom we have lost over the past three years. Their valuable contributions to the University are not forgotten. We have endured so much together. I want all of you to know how grateful I am for the work you are doing, and the contributions you are making each and every day. USF’s mission, vision, and values are brought to life every day through your actions and intentions. Without you, we could not provide are students with the ability to learn, and grow, and change the world from here, thank you. Thank you for your dedication and resilience over these past three years. And thank you for helping move USF forward.
